About Us
LinkOut

LinkOUT was created to build a sense of community among young LGBT professionals. The following vision and mission statement were created by a group of volunteers dedicated to developing this goal.

Vision Statement

Our vision is to shape the future of the young LGBT professional community making Central Ohio a desirable place to call home.

Mission Statement

LinkOUT engages young LGBT professionals and connects them to LGBT serving organizations and other communities in Central Ohio.

As a group of young professionals from diverse fields, cultural and socio-economic backgrounds we:

  • Serve as the voice for young LGBT professionals.
  • Provide an educational/awareness forum for issues that affect our community.
  • Organize social and professional networking opportunities.
  • Serve as a connection to community resources and encourage community building.
  • Facilitate community service and civic involvement.
  • Encourage professional development opportunities.

History

LinkOUT was born out of a desire to engage young LGBT professionals in the city of Columbus. The first informational meeting took place January 16, 2008 where 56 individuals came together to express an interest in starting an organization specifically geared towards organizing the young LGBT professional community. Our first elections were held April 2, 2008 and established the current executive board.
